Deer Park Cabins are located in Hot Springs, North Carolina,
about 45 minutes north of Asheville and just over an hour out
of Knoxville.  It is within driving distance of Gatlinburg, Dollywood,
the Biltmore House, and the Cherokee Indian Reservation with
its famous outdoor drama, "Unto These Hills."  Other summer
stock theatre companies also perform in the area. 

Hot Springs is part of the Smoky Mountains, which comprise
some of the tallest mountains in the Appalachian Range.  
Mt. Mitchell, the tallest mountain east of the Rocky Mountains, 
is a short drive away.  The area is noted for its hiking trails and
fishing streams.  Other area attractions include, Hot Springs Mineral
Spa, Wolf Laurel Ski Resort, whitewater rafting, The Appalachian
Trail, and Dollywoood.
 
"A Place Of Peace" best describes the setting of these old log cabins
nestled on the side of Deer Park Mountain and surrounded by the
beautiful Pisgah National Forest.  From the time of arrival, guests are
wrapped in solitude with only the sound of rustling leaves and
singing birds.

For a few days forget the sounds of traffic and the scream of sirens
in the night.  Leave behind telephones and forget what it was like to
communicate with yourself, with your loved ones, or with nature.
Bring that book you have been meaning to read.  Nature's symphony
is furnished, but you should bring your own music.  Who knows, you
might even decide to dance in front of the rock fireplace.
 
If you visit while the moon is full the landscape turns into silver,
especially in the winter when the sky is so clear.
 
Every season of the year has charm all it's own.  In the fall, the leaves
are colorful beyond belief.   Thanksgiving and Christmas are made
even more special in these beautiful old Blue Ridge Mountains.
 
The two cabins sit on ten acres of land surrounded by meadows,
forests, mountain laurel thickets, creeks and an old pond which is
more than a hundred years old.  While both cabins are deliberately
rustic they are far from primitive.  Each has a fully furnished kitchen.
 
You bring the food, bed linens, and bathroom necessities.  We can,
at your request, furnish these items for an additional charge.
