Rivermont is located just southeast of Waynesville and 13 miles
from the entrance to the Blue Ridge Parkway -- "America's Most
Scenic Drive."

conveniences of today in one of our seven rentals.  We offer
both rustic and more contemporary hand-hewn log cabins.  
Each cabin has clean, well decorated rooms filled with original
paintings, handmade quilts, woven rugs, and mountain crafts.
 
Rivermont's cabins come fully equipped with TVs, VCRs, and
kitchens with all amenities including microwaves.  Our game
room in the barn by the river's edge offers rainy day amusement.
 
Enjoy the lovely covered porches as you sit in the old fashioned
rocking chairs admiring the spectacular view of the Pigeon River
and the Smoky Mountains.  Feel the joy of walking in the hushed
loveliness of a Carolina morning and hear the sounds of the birds
welcoming a brand new day.  Sitting by our tranquil pond on a
lazy evening, you can observe our flock of ducks and our fish.

One half mile of the river is yours to enjoy for tubing, swimming,
fishing, or picnicking on the island.  For more adventure, you may 
want to explore the sights and attractions of the Greater Smoky
Mountain area that are conveniently located to Rivermont.  You
have your choice of colorful festivals, craft fairs, antique shops,
flea markets, country western dancing, horseback riding,
whitewater rafting, winter skiing, gem mining, golf, tennis and
many special events throughout the year.
