• Take a stroll to the Gold-Fish-Pond and then walk our Nature-Trail past a waterfall and observe wild flowers s.a. Trillium, wooly blue violets, Lady Slipper, Jack-in-the-Pulpit, Bluets and many more.

• Within 1 mile from our home are 2 spectacular waterfalls to hike to and also a number of Hiking Trails.

• Play a game on beautiful Mt. Mitchell Golf Course, an 18 hole Championship Course, only 900 feet from us, lying below Mt. Mitchell, the highest peak in the eastern United States. Other area golf courses include: Grassy Creek, Mountain Air, Blue Mountain, Linville, and Grandfather Mountain.
